Rug-rolling puzzler and Independent Games Festival (IGF) finalist Farsh has just been, err, unfurled on the App Store.

A port of young creator Mahdi Bahrami's free PC game, Farsh is a minimalistic puzzler in which you have to guide a colourful roll of carpet along a narrow path towards an exit.

To make it to the end of each level, you need to fill gaps in the path. And by unrolling the carpet over coloured pivot tiles, re-orienting sections of the path to change the direction of travel, and gathering more tiles, you can do just that.

After a month of coding, Bahrami decided to enter his original PC version of Farsh (the Persian word for "carpet") into the IGF 2013.

The game was shortlisted as a finalist for the IGF student competition. This is the second commendation Bahrami has received from the IGF panel - his 2011 entry Bo gained an honourable mention in the Excellence in Design category.

If you fancy taking Bahrami's magic carpet for a spin, you can download Farsh on iPhone and iPad for £1.49 / $1.99 right now.
