Indie dev Bart Bonte launched his first mobile game today, a port of his low-fi Flash-based physics-puzzler sugar, sugar.

Like its basic visuals, sugar, sugar's premise is extremely simple: sugar pours from the top of the screen, and must be directed into mugs that sit below.

You have to draw lines on the screen to direct the falling granules into one or more of the empty receptacles.

Things start getting complicated quickly, with colour-altering filters forcing you to create different channels for differently coloured mugs.

Before long, you'll find yourself inverting gravity in the hope of filling upside-down mugs with ascending clouds of sweetness.

Rather than simply porting sugar, sugar's original levels from the PC version, Bonte has come up with 35 new levels for this iOS and Android release.

Bonte's even thrown in a sandbox mode for those of you who like to play with your food.

You can grab sugar, sugar from the App Store for iPhone and iPad for 69p / 99c [buy], and from Google Play for 65p / 99c [buy].
