Crescent Moon's inventive touch-to-turn driving game Slingshot Racing is set to receive online multiplayer support, courtesy of an imminent update.

The developer teased fans of the grapple-powered racer on Twitter yesterday evening by revealing that a multiplayer update for Slingshot Racing has been submitted to the App Store and is awaiting approval.

When a follower inquired about whether this update would include an online multiplayer mode, Crescent Moon founder Josh Presseisen replied that online play would be supported in "turn based" form.

This means that online competitions in Slingshot Racing will be more about beating lap times and rising up the rankings than ramming your buddies off the track in real time.

In the meantime, if you fancy getting some practice in via the game's local multiplayer mode, you can grab the Silver Award-winning Slingshot Racing from the App Store for £1.99 / £2.99 now.
