Tap Tap Revolution: iPhone's killer gaming app?

Apple isn't saying much about its plans for iPhone gaming, but that isn't stopping independent developers from experimenting with the gaming possibilities of the handset.

Check out the video below of one example, called Tap Tap Revolution. It involves tapping the screen with your fingers in time to music, aiming to be a touchscreen version of Dance Dance Revolution.

Apparently it's also possible to turn your own tracks into compatible music for the game, and also download new tunes via Wi-Fi. Developed by a chap called Nathan True, this is one game we'd love to see evolve into a commercial product:
