Miyamoto: We're concentrating on our next-gen handheld, not the 3DS Lite
Nintendo already satisfied with how the 3DS is looking
Waiting on the Nintendo 3DS Lite before you buy into the latest round of handheld gaming? It may not actually be on its way, according to legend Shigeru Miyamoto.
Talking to IGN, the Mario creator said that Nintendo is already pretty happy with how the current 3DS is, and is instead looking to the next Nintendo handheld instead.
"I really feel like I'm satisfied with the 3DS hardware as it is. I feel like it's the best for this generation," he explained. He added that, although he could see potential for additions and tweaks to the 3DS, the handheld already more than accommodates gamers' needs.
"What we're thinking about right now is probably going to be for a future generation of handheld," he said.
So is this a definite "no" for the 3DS Lite then? In all honesty, we doubt it - there's enough people crying out for one that Nintendo surely cannot ignore them.
