Early last month, we told you that chipset manufacturer Qualcomm would work with the Guinness Book of Records at this year's E3 event to attempt to set the record for the longest mobile gaming marathon on a tablet.

Good news, folks: 26 gamers helped Qualcomm set the Guinness World Record with 26 hours and two seconds of gaming on the clock.

They played the likes of GT Racing: Motor Academy, Virtua Tennis, Galaga: Special Edition, Fruit Ninja, and Blood & Glory on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9.

At the end of the experience, Efren Ballestamon from Chula Vista, California walked away with a whopping $20,000 for nabbing the highest score in Com2uS's Homerun Battle 2.

Check out a few photos from the event below.
