Halfbrick's Fruit Ninja slices its way to 300 million downloads
1.5 trillion pieces of fruit diced since its release
To celebrate the recent second birthday of iPhone slice-'em-up Fruit Ninja, Aussie-based developer Halfbrick has released a bunch of rather interesting facts and figures.
Fruit Ninja has now been downloaded more than a whopping 300 million times, and boasts more players than the combined populations of New York, London, Beijing, Paris, and Tokyo. These players have used their fingers to slice and dice more than 1.5 trillion (yes, trillion) pieces of juicy fruit.
Despite its age, around 100 years worth of Fruit Ninja is played every single day, but that's hardly surprising given that the app is installed on one in three US iPhones.
Late last month, Fruit Ninja received its "greatest update" yet, which introduced a bunch of new fruit, such as a peach that extends your time limit, and explosive berries.
