Movie tie-in game The Hunger Games Adventures due to launch on Facebook today

Post-apocalyptic adventure movie The Hunger Games is getting its second video game tie-in in as many days. This time around, though, fans of Mark Zuckerberg's social network will be the ones entering The Hunger Games's fictional world of Panem.

In The Hunger Games Adventures for Facebook, you go on a journey through the various Districts, completing missions and encountering familiar faces from the source novel along the way.

Rather excitingly for lovers of Suzanne Collins's The Hunger Games trilogy of books, developer Funtactix has confirmed that this spin-off title will "be the first place fans can see the official map of Panem, and how the districts are laid out".

Hungry for more

Funtactix, which has partnered with Lionsgate to bring this game to Facebook users, has also promised to keep players returning to The Hunger Games Adventures via regular chapter expansions.

The Hunger Games Adventures is due to arrive on Facebook later today, so keep you eyes peeled (and your arrow notched) if you want to explore Panem for yourself.
