Gameloft has announced via its annual financial report that it has a few new titles in the works - all of which will feature those pesky in-app purchases.

In fact, every game the studio releases for smartphones and tablets this year will be "heavily social" and will feature in-app purchases.

Furthermore, the company plans to bring the free-to-play model to Java-powered feature phones. Gameloft has already released one such title and intends to unleash more in the future.

Take your pick

Gameloft's forthcoming titles include many big-name licences, such as The Dark Knight Rises, Ice Age, The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man, My Little Pony, and Littlest Pet Shop.

These titles will all be released on feature phones, smartphones, and tablets, excluding The Avengers, for which Gameloft only has the feature phone licence.

Gameloft has also acquired the rights to produce a game based on upcoming sci-fi movie Men In Black 3, which we told you about yesterday.
