According to Japanese gaming bible Famitsu
(and handily translated by Andriasang
), famed developer Atlus is hard at work developing a remake of the PS2 game Persona 4
for the PS Vita.
The game’s full title will be Persona 4: The Golden
, and will feature a new character (Marie), updated voiceovers, a new call for help ability when dying in a dungeon, and several shiny new animated cutscenes.Persona 4: The Golden
for PS Vita is due out in spring 2012, and we’re expecting 3G and wi-fi support to be included, along with new personas (a kind of personal spirit used in battle) and character costumes.Make it Personal
If you are unfamiliar with the Persona 4
original, it's a JRPG featuring a character-driven narrative, a series of grisly murders, and a team of high school demon summoners trying to get to the root of the deaths.

announcement is good news for all future PS Vita owners, why not check out our review of Atlus’s Persona 3
It earned a Gold Award, you know.
