Crescent Moon Games's free dual-stick military shooter Deadlock: Online is preparing to deploy reinforcements on your iOS device in the form of a major update.

If you've been pining for a new theatre of war in this Silver Award-winning game, you'll be pleased to hear that not one, but two new environments are en route - Jungle and Desert Compound.

And the combat experience should be about to get a lot better, too. The update promises a new latency meter, hosting regions, and a megaton of bug fixes, including an end to double-point flag captures.

An elite Pocket Gamer black ops team has managed to pull off a snatch-and-grab operation on four exclusive screenshots, by the way - you can browse through them in the gallery above.

Crescent Moon Games's update is scheduled to infiltrate your iOS device in about two weeks. Deadlock: Online itself is available worldwide for iPhone and iPad as a Universal app, and is free.
