Karkadann Games announces action RPG Manny Pacquiao: Pound for Pound

In an interesting mix of character, nationality, and concepts, Abu Dhabi-based start up Karkadann Games has announced it's making a game based around Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao.

Taking his current status from The Ring magazine as the best boxer at any weight, it's called Manny Pacquiao: Pound for Pound, and is said to be designed for a casual audience, across mobile, iPhone, iPad, Facebook, and PC.

Mix and match

Indeed, something of an action RPG, you get to play as Manny the martial arts hero, battling through the underground world of heinous villains on a mission of justice. After all, he is now an MP in the Philippines.

So, using the lightning speed of Manny's hands, and combined with kicks and various martial arts weaponry, you'll get to customise your character through what's promised to be 'narrative arcs, intense action and addictive gameplay.'

"We are extremely excited about the launch of this new series," David Ortiz, general manager of Karkadann Games, said.

"Our game captures Manny as a true action hero, with the will power, determination, and resilience unique to Manny. We've built a fast-paced, graphically stimulating action adventure experience with immersive gameplay. We can't wait to share our vision with Manny's fans and gamers around the world."

Manny Pacquiao: Pound for Pound is due to be released sometime in the summer (and will hopefully last longer than Shane Mosley).

You can find out more from the game's Facebook page.
