GC ’10: Soul Bubbles floating its way to iPhone and iPad in October
DS star gets a stylus-free makeover
Remember Soul Bubbles on DS? Maybe you don't – it was a bit of a niche title, after all.
It was an extremely good niche title though, and one we gave an 8/10 Silver Award back in 2008.
The good news springing from GamesCom 2010 (courtesy of Pockett) is that a conversion is being worked on for iPhone and iPad. In fact, Eurocenter’s port of the Mekensleep game is well into production and set for an October release.
The game sees you drawing bubbles around loose ‘souls’ and blowing them to safety through a number of hazard-strewn levels. It’s the kind of gently engrossing affair that should fit snugly on any iDevice.
At the moment, Eurocenter is said to be debating whether to release the game as a single package for £2.99/$4.99/€3.99, or to divide into several episodes. Either way it'll be a bargain, given the price of the DS original.
