Zynga’s FarmVille hits the iPhone in New Zealand - out here tomorrow

Ridiculously popular Facebook game FarmVille, is now available to download on iPhone in New Zealand.

The agricultural productivity killer pulls in over 60 million active Facebook users a month, making it far and away the most popular game on the social network, with a 30 million lead over game number two, Texas HoldEm Poker.

Unlike Mafia Wars, another social network game turned iPhone app by Zynga, FarmVille will actually let you tend to your Facebook farm, instead of making you start up a new turnip-based business.

The game has you planting and harvesting crops to earn money, which you can use to pimp your farm with new buildings and vehicles. You can play for free, or spend some real world cash to make the game a little easier.

As well as giving you access to your livestock on the go, the app will also feature iPhone and iPod exclusive items, to show off your Apple allegiance.

FarmVille is available right now on iPhone and iPod touch in New Zealand, which means it will hit the UK App Store early tomorrow morning.
