WoW’s Auction House coming to the iPhone and iPod touch

World of Warcraft addicts around the globe are soon going to find escaping the world of Azeroth that little bit harder - Blizzard has announced an Auction House app for the iPhone, iPod touch and Facebook.

Speaking on the official WoW forums, Blizzard employee ‘Bornakk’ (probably not his real name) said, "While there are still plenty of details to be worked out, we're designing the service to offer auction functionality similar to what's available in-game."

No further details on what these ‘similar' functions will be, but Bornakk goes on to reveal that "certain elements of the service will be premium-based", so we suspect that there will be at least the option to set buy and sell orders in the premium version.

We’re unsure whether this is good news for WoW addicts or whether it’s really bad news, but we’ll keep you informed if any further developments come to light.
