Over at this year’s WWDC, where Jon has been liveblogging the event, Gameloft was called upon to help Apple demonstrate what developers have been achieving with the new 3.0 iPhone firmware.

It took the opportunity to show off a couple of moments of its new addition to the prolific and popular driving series, Asphalt 5. Mark Hickey took to the stage and promised us a "console quality" racer, with dynamic lighting and a super-smooth framerate.

And since Mark likes to choose his own music while driving, he was pretty impressed with the notion of playing your own music while racing around Asphalt 5’s tracks in 27 different licensed cars and four motorbikes.
