There's a lot of numbers flying around today. We won’t bore you with the details, but one piece of news doing the rounds - along with Nintendo’s continuing dominance - concerns Sony’s PSP: it seems it’s broken through the 50 million sales barrier.

50 million: think of that. Enough to put one in five out of six British pockets. That’s (very) roughly 12,500 tons of PSP.

Of course, around about now Nintendo is likely to hit the magic 100 million sales of its DS, outselling the PSP by a damning ratio of two to one. It would be just like Nintendo to make that announcement before Sony’s glow has faded.

Still, well done PSP.
