Glu to release Diner Dash 2 for mobile

If you haven't played Diner Dash, you should – it's a marvellous slice of casual gaming action that puts you in the shoes of a top waitress named Flo.

It started life as an online game, before Glu signed the rights to release it on mobile, prompting over a million people to download it.

Anyway, the news is that the publisher has now announced plans to bring the sequel, Diner Dash 2, to mobiles this autumn.

Glu hasn't said which features will be retained in the mobile version but, online, Diner Dash 2 sticks with the original's formula of seating, serving and clearing up after customers as quickly as possible in order to keep the money rolling in.

The online version (pictured) also has new diners and new customers, as well as a plot based around fending off a nefarious Mr Big. Hopefully all of this will make it into the mobile version, too.
