It's kinda weird that
South Park has yet to
spawn any
really firstrate
games. It seems even the quiet little redneck po-dunk white-trash
mumble mumble town isn't immune to the game license death sentence.
But all might not be lost for Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman, as a new trip to
South Park is coming to the iPhone (
at last). RealArcade has made the wise decision not to base
South Park Mega Millionaire on any particular episode of the long-lived cartoon, taking the boys to Japan instead to compete in a sadistic TV show in the hope of realising Cartman's dream of winning $1 million.
The game consists of 25 challenges, offered in hilarious Japlish (as only Trey Parker knows how) by a camp, out-of-control host, and including such tasks as skating while wearing a turtle on your head, or serving tea to a sumo master.
Although
South Park Mega Millionaire isn't based on any episodes, it does promise lots of references for the fans, and includes TV-perfect graphics and all the original voices.
South Park Mega Millionaire should be with us in September. Sweet.
