Massive casual iPhone hit Pocket God has parted the format waves and walked over to the land of Java mobiles, courtesy of AMA.

The game sees you take control of an omnipotent, omnipresent, and (possibly) naughty deity, looking after your tribe of Pygmies as they go about worshipping you.

I say "looking after", but for the most part you'll be performing and unlocking various powers that - in the main - will end up killing them.

Turn the other cheek

The abilities at your disposal include setting off volcanoes on a whim, as well as teaching your Pygmies a vital lesson in health and safety by lobbing them into shark-infested waters.

Pocket God packs in a few 'proper' objectives to keep the less deranged and evil players on board, too. These goals are activated as you mess around with the various elements (such as dinasaur eggs) found on your island.

Pocket God should be materialising on your local Java games portal very soon.
