Glu reveals second-half mobile games line-up

Includes Quantum of Solace, Lemmings Tribes and Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa

Product: Glu Mobile news | Publisher: Glu Mobile
Glu has revealed its line-up of mobile games to be released in Europe in the coming months.

Some of them we know all about, such as Transformers: G1 Awakening, Sushi Shuffle, Super Slam Ping Pong and Wheel of Fortune.

Other highlights include Lemmings Tribes, which is due out in September, and sees you rescuing three tribes of Lemmings from a series of ingenious levels, including Space Lemmings and Medieval Lemmings.

AMF Bowling is a 3D bowling game that has you competing in the AMF World Cup for an (apparently) coveted Golden Ball. It'll also have a live multiplayer mode, seemingly over the mobile network, and is due out in September.

Afterworld: Global Contact is based on the much-hyped Web TV show, and is a mobile adventure where you travel the world trying to fix the planet's communication towers (hopefully more exciting than that sounds). It's also due in September.

If you've read our GC 2008 hands-on previews, you'll know all about Silent Hill Mobile 2 and Pro Evolution Soccer 2009, which are expected in September and October, respectively.

Also coming in October is Quantum of Solace, the official game of the new James Bond movie. It promises plenty of bullets, grenades and a "technologically advanced combat system". Hopefully that's code for 'better than The Dark Knight or the first Transformers mobile game'.

And there's more: Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa is due out in October, based on the upcoming DreamWorks Animation animated flick. Glu is also releasing Call of Duty: World at War this autumn, letting you blow up buildings and make heavy with the flamethrowers.

Bugs Bunny: Rabbit Rescue promises wabbit-hunting fun, with added Marvin the Martian, Yosemite Sam and Elmer Fudd. It's out in November, as is Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? 10th Anniversary Edition, with the big new feature of enabling you to win real-world cash prizes.

Finally, Space Monkey transfers from iPhone to mobile in December. Better late than never – it's been out in the US for regular mobiles for months. The idea remains the same: to guide the Simian hero through space collecting rubbish.

It's certainly a busy few months for Glu: which games are you most looking forward to? Post a comment to let us know!
