The news that they're remaking The Karate Kid movie has been badly received, regardless of the fact that Jackie Chan will be taking on the role of Mr Miyagi.
But that doesn't mean we're devoid of karate-based legends to keep us entertained. Javaground has dropped us a line to tell us all about its forthcoming fighting adventure game, Karate, for the iPhone.
The game follows the journey of brave, empty handed warrior Toru as he attempt to defeat the evil warlord Maguro and save the lovely Princess Miyuki from his dungeon - all using the formidable way of karate!
We're warned that the video below is quite early footage, with improvements expected across the board from animation to character designs.
Still, as far as scrolling, fighting adventure games go, the iPhone is something of an entertainment desert, so we'll make sure we don't take our eye off Karate.
