Waiting on an update

Technical problems still plague Sam & Max on iPad

Serious technical issues remain unaddressed in the iPad version of Sam & Max Episode 1: The Penal Zone more than a month after its release.

Developer Telltale Games has acknowledged glitches in the game, yet no update addressing these flaws has gone live.

Frequent technical errors include graphical distortion (pictured here), audio distortions including stuttering sounds through the speaker, and crashes to the home screen.

Glitches have been reported in other versions of the game, though none quite as serious as those we reported in our review.

Still with the next instalment in the season - Sam & Max Episode 2: The Tomb of Sammun-Mak - slated for release on May 18, it may be that Telltale is delaying an update to Episode 1 while spending its time ensuring the next episode doesn't suffer from similar problems.

At least, that's what we're crossing our fingers for.
