It's fair to say that those of us who are wannabe mobile Mourinhos have been spoiled in recent months. We've had the fab threesome of
Championship Manager 2008,
Real Football: Manager Edition, and
LMA Manager 08.
Now there's another contender, and it's a heavyweight. EA Mobile has announced that it's releasing
FIFA Manager 08 for mobile in January.
The game includes five countries – England, France, Spain, Germany and Italy – with the top two divisions from each country (good news for those of us who are fans of the mighty, mighty Norwich City).
You'll be trying to meet your board of directors' objectives, by wheeling and dealing in the transfer market, training your squad up, and picking the right tactics to see off the opposition in the text-based matches.
We've had a play on a preview version, and were impressed by the slick and clean interface, which resembles a Sony Ericsson mobile phone menu system with its neat icons. Can the final game measure up though? Click 'Track It!' to stay informed.
