Age of Heroes Online coming to iPhone

Multiplayer mobile hit allows iPhone users into its ranks

Product: Age of Heroes Online (iPhone) | Developer: Qplaze | Publisher: Nomoc | Genre: Multiplayer, RPG
A few weeks back, we heard that Russian mobile game publisher Nomoc was gearing up to launch European servers for its hit online mobile multiplayer, Age of Heroes Online, and chose to speculate that it would be the ideal way for the company to branch into iPhone games.

Not to blow our own trumpets (we have a bad back), but it now seems we were right. Qplaze (the development arm of Nomoc) just got in touch to tell use Age of Heroes Online is indeed coming to the App Store.

It seems the soon-to-be-launched English server will allow iPhone access as well as J2ME clients, essentially making Age of Heroes Online something of a cross-platform MMORPG.

Quite how payment for the iPhone version will be handled is unclear at this point, as the Java version currently requires a subscription – something that's not currently possible on the App Store (although this could change with the imminent 3.0 update).

Very cool concept. I'm not diggin' the graphics on the game... but ideas like this could drive the iPhone (and other hand held platforms) into new territory!

Agreed. It's good to see the iPhone being considered as a viable platform for online games.
