Monster Hunter Freedom 2 European released confirmed

Sequel coming to PSP this September

Monster Hunter Freedom 2 European released confirmed

After a hugely successful start in Japan, where it's just been released, Capcom has now officially announced action RPG Monster Hunter Freedom 2 will be available to European PSP owners in September.

The original Monster Hunter has proved one of the most popular titles for Sony's handheld, with global sales in excess of 2.4 million units. It is still Japan's top-selling PSP title, with an attach rate of one game sold for every five handhelds, although given the performance of the sequel that position looks seriously under threat.

Freedom 2 builds on the PlayStation 2 title, Monster Hunter 2, and contains some 50 per cent more content than the original PSP game, as well as the promise of wi-fi infrastructure support in order to download further content and quests.

We'll be covering this in more detail soon, so click 'Track It!' to be alerted of subsequent updates.
