EA has dropped Pocket Gamer a line to reveal that the new Medal of Honor game has arrived on Java mobile portals. It also told us a little about what to expect for the new title.

The latest addition to the modern military action series has some seriously hefty graphical tricks up its sleeve, with real-time lighting, shadows, and over 200 different animations depending on how a character is attacked.

The eight levels are described by the company as being ‘combined arms’, in that they revolve around four distinct areas of gameplay.

There are the fairly standard cover-and-shoot sections, complete with moving target reticules for headshots; bombing runs with infrared; sniping with a zoom across a large map; and even some stealth sections that rely on wits and a trusty knife.

EA is looking to replicate the ‘cinematic action-focused experience’ of the home console version (which also came out today), with some levels copying the design and scope of the bigger version, yet offering a few extra choice as to how to proceed as well.

We’ll be seeing if the game deserves a Pocket Gamer medal to go along with its military one a little later in the week.
