Marvel Contest of Champions is introducing Werewolf by Night and Morbius in its Halloween update
October comes with loads of spooks and things are about to become creepy in Marvel Contest of Champions’ Battlerealm. Lots of disappearances have happened near the quagmire landscape and Blade and Elsa Bloodstone from the Midnight Sons have been called in to investigate. Something sinister is brewing and it seems like a werewolf and vampire are behind it.
You may have guessed that Werewolf by Night and Morbius are joining Marvel Contest of Champions for this Halloween-themed update. Before he became the Living Vampire, Dr Micheal Morbius was a renowned doctor working to cure his rare blood disease.
In an attempt to save his life, he injected himself with bat DNA, which transformed him into a bloodthirsty vampire who needs to constantly consume blood to sustain his monstrous form. He’s still the same genius he was before, so now he wreaks havoc using both his brains and brawn.
The second monster to join the game is Jack Russell, who was gifted the curse of lycanthropy on his 18th birthday. It granted him a werewolf alter-ego, something he’d struggled with for years to come. As a creature imagined to be only in myths, Werewolf’s sightings always meant that he was pursued by beast hunters, criminals, and other creatures, meaning Jack had to constantly fight them.

He was usually fine and never felt the need to transform, allowing him to lead a normal-ish life. It was only during full moons that the temptation was at its peak, thus making Jack Russell the Werewolf by Night.
Werewolf by Night arrives in-game on October 12th, followed by Morbius on the 26th. There are several other themed stuff like My Little Symbiote and Blood Moon to look out for as well.
