Unique fantasy strategy game Majesty: Northern Expansion plants its flag on the Android Market

HeroCraft has released the follow-up to its Pocket Gamer Bronze Award-winning Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim onto the Android Market, entitled Majesty: Northern Expansion.

The game moves attention up to the snowy north, adding the usual gamut of new heroes, monsters, and levels to the surprisingly hands-off strategy game.

As with the original Majesty, your job as ruler of the land isn’t to get stuck into beating up monster but in tempting wandering heroes into doing the jobs themselves with a sizeable stack of gold.

This gold is earned both through taxation of your general populace and, rather ingeniously, through selling health potions and equipment back to the (rapidly more demanding and powerful) heroes themselves.

1 Formula

HeroCraft is describing this new title as an ‘expansion’ to the original, so don’t expect too many changes to the formula for this one. Even the graphics look very similar, in fact.

But given our biggest complaint with the original was that it was rather on the short side, more of the same sounds like a decent deal.

Majesty: Northern Expansion is out now on the Android Market for £1.99 [download].
