This better not be a fairy tale

Rumour: action RPG Soul Sacrifice Delta is coming over to west for PS Vita

Soul Sacrifice Delta, the sequel to Marvelous AQL's silver-award winning action RPG Soul Sacrifice, is probably on its way to the west.

We say 'probably' because we've only got a listing on The Australian Classification Board's website to go on - but that's the same source that leaked the western localization of Weapon Shop de Omasse, so we’re taking it on good faith.

Like the original Soul Sacrifice, Delta comes from Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune and features the same action-packed and morally murky gameplay of the original.

However, Inafune noted that Delta is more than a "mere update" to Soul Sacrifice.

While it features the same gameplay elements that have players decide whether to save or sacrifice a defeated enemy's soul, Delta introduces a new third neutral moral choice - Luck - that lines up with the newly introduced Grimm faction.

Siliconera reports that these Grimm fellows don't concern themselves with saving or sacrificing monsters and instead allow the heavens to determine their fate.

Adding to the Grimm theme, Soul Sacrifice Delta introduces a host of new, nightmarish monsters for players to take on - many of which are based on the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales.

For example, Cinderella (pictured above) is interpreted as a monstrous centipede-woman who uses her many feet to indulge her perverted prince's not-so-secret foot fetish.

Weird stuff, we admit, but if this Monster Hunter-like JRPG lives up to its predecessor, Vita owners will have a lot to look forward to when it finally makes its way to the west.
