Mark your calendars, retro nerds. Starting from April 3rd, Nintendo is going to be releasing select Game Boy Advance classics on the Wii U's eShop.
Starting from next week, a new batch of classic titles will be released every Thursday until April 24th. The first batch will include Advance Wars, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and Metroid Fusion.
Kirby & The Amazing Mirror and Wario Ware Inc.: Minigame Mania will arrive the following Thursday 10th, with F-Zero: Maximum Velocity and Golden Sun set to hit the eShop a week later.
Rounding out these bundles of joy will be Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 which Nintendo feel is sufficient enough to release entirely by itself on the final Thursday of April, the 24th.
The classics will also be getting some Wii U functionality. Restore Points will save your progress as you play and Miiverse connectivity will bring new features to the table.
All of the above titles will be priced at £6.29. Unfortunately, the promotion has only been announced for Europe at this time.
If your favourite title hasn't made the list, don't worry. Nintendo has announced that more Game Boy Advance classics will be released in future months.
(And yes, the Wii U is definitely stretching the definition of "pocket" gaming, but the GBA is definitely within our wheelhouse so this just about counts. What are you, the news police?)
