Final Horizon is a forthcoming Vita tower defence game with alien bugs and spacey vistas

We caught wind of Final Horizon during Sony's Gamescom keynote last year. At that point, we knew absolutely nothing about it.
Luckily, Final Horizon developer Eiconic Games took the time to flesh out those missing details on the EU PlayStation Blog today.
Final Horizon is set in space, with gorgeous backdrops that include ringed planets with bright suns behind them.
Unfortunately, though, you won't be able to explore these vistas in a spaceship you can call your own. Final Horizon is a tower defence game, you see.
So, you'll be defending yourself from the alien Swarm as you invade unknown galaxies to take the bug-like species down.
This will involve fighting on the surface of planets. Saying that, your best weapons are the satellites above, which provide support from above as a killstreak reward.
Alas, we don't have any release date details for Final Horizon yet. Hopefully, though, Eiconic will be able to serve up something of the same quality as its Silver Award-winning PulzAR in the near future.
