There are a couple of rather interesting new releases for PS Vita this week, so gather round and listen up.

Whether you're looking for a brisk stroll through the woods or hoping to bomb around a track or two in a rally car, the PS Vita Store has you covered this week.

There's even some PlayStation Mobile goodness available this week.

Let's check it all out, then...

Full-price releases

First up is Proteus. It costs £9.99 / $12.49, and it's all about exploring an island, chasing frogs, and generally walking a lot.

It's a very unique experience. Boiled down, though, it's all about taking a relaxing stroll through a randomly generated world.

When I played the PC version, it was an enjoyable, if somewhat short, experience. Apparently, this Vita version has additional features, mind.

Meanwhile, Furmins is a physics-based puzzler in which you try to guide these little creatures called Furmins to the end of each level.

Sounds very Lemmings. This one costs £5.49, if you're interested. Look out for a review of that up on the site soon.

Great news! Tearaway is available to pre-order on PSN at the moment. It's the next game from Media Molecule - a.k.a. the LittleBigPlanet people - and it's looking pretty ace. Read our preview of the game, then pre-order it for £19.99.

There's also Tunein Radio for £1.49, WRC 4 FIA World Rally Championship for £29.99, Angry Birds Star Wars for $39.99, and OMG HD Zombies for $4.99.

Sales, price drops, and PS Plus

There's a "horror week" sale on to coincide with Halloween, so you can pick up Lone Survivor for $9.99 ($8.99 on PS Plus).

And if you're a PS Plus subscriber, you can grab Proteus for 10 percent off the full price in Europe. US gamers, meanwhile, can grab Sine Mora for free. Nice!

PlayStation Mobile releases

Super Tank Poker is pretty neat. It's a cross between Advance Wars and poker, and is from PSM regular Thomas Hopper. £1.19 to you and me.

Meanwhile, Miko Gakkou: Second Year is a rhythm-action game with full voice acting and fighting youkais. If that sounds like your sort of thing, it costs £2.59.

Back next week!
