Nokia announces two new phablets and a Windows RT powered tablet at Nokia World in Abu Dhabi

Well, it finally happened. Nokia has only gone and announced a tablet. It's called the Lumia 2520, it's powered by Windows RT 8.1, and it looks like quite a nifty little number.
The 2520 boasts a 10.1 inch full HD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a 16:9 aspect ratio. That gives you a pixel density of 218ppi.
Nokia is proud to say that the 2520 sports the brightest display on the market, and cuts down on reflections, meaning gaming outside should be no trouble whatsoever.
You'll also get a 6.7 megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics, so you can take cumbersome photos to your heart's content.
Under the colourful hood you'll find a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor running at 2.2 Ghz.
There's 2GB of RAM, with 32GB of internal storage and an expandable micro SD slot that lets you add up to another 32GB.
As well as all that, the 2520 sports a 4G connection, so you can keep online when you're out and about.
The Lumia 2520 is set to cost $499 when it's released later in the year, which will probably translate to about £450.
At the same event, Nokia has announced two new phablets, the 1520 and the 1320. The 1520 is the flagship, a sizeable chunk of stylishly colourful plastic with a massive six inch screen with a full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. That's a pixel density of 368 ppi.
It's powered by Windows Phone 8, and there's a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.2Ghz whirring away underneath everything.
Chuck in 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, with an expandable micro SD card slot that lets you add up to another 64GB, and you're left with an impressive phone.
Then, this being a Nokia device, there's the 20 megapixel camera, which is a lot of megapixels.
Games-wise the phone has the Xbox Live hub, as well as Direct X 11. And with a screen that big and that much processing clout, there's a lot of potential here for gaming on the go.
The 1520 will be hitting US stores this quarter before moving out across the UK and the rest of the world later on. It'll cost $749 sim-free.
Then there's the 1320, which is a cheaper version of the 1520. It sports a dual-core 1.7Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon, a 6 inch screen with a 720p resolution, and a less impressive 5 megapixel camera.
It is a lot cheaper though, expected to sell for around $339 when it's released. Although that's unlikely to be until next year, with Asian markets the initial target before a release in Europe later in the year.
