Control a giant robot snake in Halfbrick's new Colossatron: Massive World Threat iOS game

Right now, Halfbrick has three of the four metallic medals we give to the very best games hanging up in its offices in Brisbane.*

You see, Fruit Ninja got a Silver Award from us on review, Jetpack Joyride got a Gold Award, and Fish Out Of Water got a Bronze Award.

That means the fact that Halfbrick has just announced a new game gets us a bit hot under the collar.

Especially when said game is about a giant snake monster invading the earth.

In Halfbrick's Colossatron: Massive World Threat, you lead your metallic snake beast in an orgy of destruction, smashing up cities and scoring points for every dollar of damage you cause.

You can make Colossatron bigger by picking up differently coloured nodes. These give you boosts, buffs, and extra weapons. You can combine them in different sequences to create a unique and highly personalised killing machine.

Halfbrick has based Colossatron: Massive World Threat's visual style on classic '80s anime and Saturday morning cartoons, so, yeah, there are lots of primary colours here and lots of brilliantly designed tanks to destroy.

Colossatron: Massive World Threat will boast co-operative and competitive features, too, although Halfbrick hasn't revealed any details about those just yet.

The Australia-based studio will provide more details on the game in the coming weeks, and we'll keep you posted as soon as we know more.
