Every week, thousands of new games hit the iOS App Store and Google Play on Android. Trying to find the diamonds in the rough is no easy task, let us assure you.

We like to think we do a pretty good job with our news articles, mid-week round-ups, expert reviews, and comprehensive features, mind.

But, now we want to know what YOU think.

Today, we're going to ask you to pick the best game that was released on iOS and Android from the past week (from the nominations below), and then we'll announce the winner in a glamorous article next Monday.

There are loads of places to vote. Leave a comment at the bottom of this article, reply to our Game of the Week tweet, answer the poll on Facebook, or shave your choice into your dog's back.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown (iPhone, iPad) Aliens have invaded Earth. As the commander of an elite paramilitary group called XCOM, you have to research otherworldly technology, plan combat missions, and send those aliens packing.
Gloomy Hollow (iPhone, iPad) Lead a band of three misfits across a monster-infested Underworld in search of stolen Soul Crystals that will allow you to restore your dilapidated town to its former glory.
