Weigh anchor and blow some ships up - Leviathan: Warships now available for Android

The week got off to a great start for Android-owning fans of turn-based nautical warfare games as the highly anticipated Leviathan: Warships cruised over to Google Play.

Arriving in its new port of call exactly one week after its iOS release, Leviathan: Warships allows you to build and customize a fleet before sending it off to battle AI opponents or your friends.

Featuring 11 ships, 16 different weapon types, nine missions in a co-op campaign, and 14 skirmish maps to challenge friends and foes on, Leviathan: Warships offers plenty of ways to send your rivals down to the briny depths.

Depth charge

As with the iOS release, Leviathan: Warships features cross-platform play between PC, Mac, and Android tablets, along with built-in cloud saving functionality.

This allows you to sink - ahem - sync your game between devices, so you can save the progress on your Android game and pick it up from your desktop or laptop when you come home.
It's not known yet whether the "totally borked" multiplayer issue will stretch onto the Android release or if it's been cleaned up, but we'll keep you updated when we know more. Until then, enjoy the smooth, jazzy, trailer below.
