The fowl-flinging singularity is nigh: Angry Birds Friends coming to iOS and Android

Question: what franchise began as a mobile game, turned into a browser game, then a can of soda before becoming a mobile game based on its browser game?

If you guessed Miku Flick, then you probably don't read this site regularly enough.

The correct answer is Angry Birds, or rather it will be once the Facebook game Angry Birds Friends comes to iOS and Android.

Fling fowl with friends

On Wednesday, a photo appeared on Rovio's official Angry Birds Facebook Page that teased the upcoming mobile release of Angry Birds Friends.

In addition to themed Green Day and NFL level packs, Angry Birds Friends allows players to compete directly against their friends and brag about their high scores.

When players feel more cooperative, the app also lets them to send "mystery gift" power-ups to help friends clear troublesome levels.

We don't know when to expect Angry Birds Friends on Google Play or the App Store just yet, but we'll update you with more information as soon as we have it.
