GDC 2013: Sega's insanely gory rail shooter House of the Dead: Overkill - The Lost Reels heading to iOS and Android

Sega is preparing to release a mobile version of its gory rail shooter House of the Dead: Overkill next month.

Entitled House of the Dead: Overkill - The Lost Reels, this iOS and Android port is described as a hybrid of the two previous entries in the series (the Wii original and the PS3 Extended Cut).

Gamezebo went hands-on with this forthcoming visceral shooter at GDC, and is reporting that Sega has kept the mobile version true to its blood-splattered console roots.

Initially, House of the Dead: Overkill - The Lost Reels provides you with two control options: accelerometer or touch controls.

The game also features a tap-to-shoot mechanic, but this is only accessible after you've completed the game.

As well as promoting House of the Dead: Overkill - The Lost Reels (due to hit iOS and Andoid next month) at GDC, Sega revealed its upcoming MMO Puzzle Pirates (heading to iPad and other tablets in spring) and multiplayer RTS Godsrule (expected to debut on iOS and Android this summer).
