Indie developer Pixelocity Software has been pretty quiet since it released turn-based multiplayer racer Disc Drivin' back in December 2010.

Well, until now, that is.

The Texas-based studio has just announced a brand-new endless-style action game in which you tilt your iPhone or iPad to guide a boat around a series of obstacles and hazards.

The game's called Danger Boat, and it'll be available to download from the App Store "soon".

Nautical nonsense

So, yeah, your aim is to survive for as long as you possibly can.

In order to do this, though, you'll have to avoid rocks and icebergs; evade large waves and whirlpools; and stay the hell away from any missiles that fly in your direction.

Buoys, on the other hand, are a GOOD thing. Bob and weave between them, and you'll unlock a range of helpful power-ups, which include a friendly helicopter and a shield that will absorb damage.

We'll let you know as soon as Danger Boat docks in the App Store.
