Bad movie, great retro gameplay

It's time to stick watermelons in your pants and do the Torgo, Manos: The Hands of Fate comes to Android

The master and fans of Mystery Science Theater 3000 will be so pleased.

FreakZone Games has brought its Pocket Gamer Bronze Award-winning retro platformer Manos: The Hands of Fate to Android almost seven months after it was released for iOS.

Based on a b-movie which won a cult following when it received the MST3K treatment, Manos follows the story of a young couple who stumbles onto a satanic cult based out of a motor lodge in the middle of the desert.

Torgo or not Torgo?

While it's almost impossible to make it through the movie, Manos: The Hands of Fate is quite the enjoyable retro action game.

Reminiscent of 1980s NES games from the outset, Manos: The Hands of Fate features a rather steep difficulty that modern gamers might find off-putting.

For those eager to relieve the days of Blaster Master and the original Castlevania, however, Manos is a rare gem that will help you appreciate how far modern games have come.

Manos: The Hands of Fate (£1.60 / $2.49) is available now, and takes up 18MB on your Android device of choice.
