Visit the stars in June with Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager
Let's fly away
Polar Motion is developing a space-based management simulation called Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager for Mac, PC, and - more importantly - iPad. It'll be out in June. The game, that is. Silly.
Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager will consist of various episodes.
In the game's first episode, you'll take control of your very own fledgling space agency from the 1950s, and attempt to recreate some of the infamous real-world Lunar landings that occurred between 1969 and 1972.
In subsequent episodes, you'll be launching missions inspired by other real space programs, such as the launch of the Sputnik satellite and the manned Apollo mission.
Your ultimate goal, though, is to launch a manned mission to Mars.
Naturally, you'll have to perform lots of research and development tasks in order to craft the vital components needed for each outer space mission.
You'll also need to recruit a top-notch team of scientists, engineers, technicians, and - of course - astronauts to improve your chances of success.
You do all of this across two game modes: Campaign, in which you must manage your agency and keep your country's government happy; and Sandbox, in which you can completely forget about trivial things like politics.
If you're a bit of a space nut, you should definitely check out Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager when it lands on the App Store surface in June.
