iOS and Android Game of the Week - your vote needed

Every week, thousands of new games hit the iOS App Store and Google Play on Android. Trying to find the diamonds in the rough is no easy task, let us assure you.

We like to think we do a pretty good job with our news articles, mid-week round-ups, expert reviews, and comprehensive features, mind.

But, now we want to know what YOU think.

Every Thursday, we're going to ask you to pick the best game that was released on iOS and Android that week (from the nominations below), and then we'll present that winner in a glamorous article on the following Monday.

There are loads of places to vote. Leave a comment at the bottom of this article, reply to our Game of the Week tweet, answer the poll on Facebook, or name your first born after your favourite nomination.

	Metal Slug 2 (iPhone, iPad, Android) The third mobile outing for SNK's classic Metal Slug arcade series sees the Peregrine Falcon Squad squaring off against General Morden and his alien allies. Just. Keep. Shooting.
	After Burner Climax (iPhone, iPad) You're going to have to rock backwards and forwards in your office chair to recreate the full gyroscopic arcade experience. Other than that, Sega's newest fighter jet orgy is now available in (almost) all its glory for small screens.
	Roar Rampage (iPhone, iPad) It's always a pleasure to watch someone who enjoys their work. With that in mind, we suggest you check out this Godzilla-style smash-'em-up, in which you assume direct control over an enormous monster's fist.
	Sky Pirates Racing (iPhone, iPad, Android) You remember that bit in Nausicaa - Valley of the Wind where the girl swooshes about on that natty glider? No? Well, tough, coz that's the only comparison you're getting. It's got a futuristic airborne glider. Like in Nausicaa. Look, it's on DVD. Go watch it.
	Cordy 2 (iPhone, iPad) This just-released sequel to the gorgeous toybox platformer Cordy continues the series's tradition of stellar production values and inconceivably high levels of robo-cuteness.
