Borderlands Legends gets huge overhaul, adds extra features, and loot drops
Legendary let-down?
The disappointing Borderlands Legends has received an update that promises to improve the gameplay and visuals, and introduce those all-important loot drops.
The update also includes more new features, including a Sniper Mode that allows weapon focus, rare Eridian weapons to find, and Game Center support.
Opening Pandora's boxReleased around a month after huge console and PC title Borderlands 2, Legends - a squad-based action-strategy game for iOS - sounded like it would be a dream come true.
But, of course, if you're going to attach your blockbuster shooter's name to such a lazy creation as Legends, with its clunky gameplay, and fiddly controls, you're going to leave customers feeling ripped off.
Pocket Gamer's own review described Legends as a "half-hearted promotional tool for the main Borderlands franchise". We weren't best pleased, then.
A-Loot to make up forPerhaps with this latest update (and a promotional price plunge to 69p / 99c) it's not too late to make amends and win back some of the Borderland's audiences approval. Here's hopin', Vault Hunters.
