Supercell has just issued an enormous update to its tribalistic strategy game Clash of Clans. In this update, the Finnish dev has added level six units, new leaderboards, better traps, and a whole litany of tweaks and fixes.

First things first, you should upgrade your laboratory to have access to monster level six units. At this level, barbarians get sharper swords, for example, and archers get fancy new bow techniques.

Balloons will become laced with spikes (which sounds like an accident waiting to happen), while giants - pictured below - are bigger and burlier (and hairier) than ever.

There are two new traps - air bomb and seeking air mine - to scupper airborne attackers.

Plus, you can upgrade air defence turrets and archers to take on dragons and balloons, respectively.

Oh, and remember those hero units that turned up in the last update? They've been upgraded, too. So, they now recover health faster, patrol a larger area, and can display their guard radius.

Plus, this update contains a whole heap of tweaks and fixes.

You can now see your clan member ranking, for instance, while local leaderboards show you who the best player in your country is.

Furthermore, you can cast magic more often, walls have been strengthened at levels 9 and 10, and you can now see the exact trigger radius of any trap. Handy.

You can get the full feature breakdown for this update at Supercell's forum. Or just go download the latest Clash of Clans firmware and get stuck right in.
