Classic 1984 Fighting Fantasy novel House of Hell is now available to download from the App Store and Google Play for £3.99 / $5.99.

As you probably already know, Fighting Fantasy gamebooks are interactive adventures that allow you to carve your own path through the narrative.

In House of Hell, you assume the role of a luckless traveller, who's forced to seek refuge from an horrendous downpour inside a terrifying hell-filled mansion.

Unfortunately, your new shelter houses many dark secrets, as well as a variety of deadly traps and otherworldly monsters that you'll have to overcome if you wish to survive the night.

The refresh

This digital edition of House of Hell features plenty of shiny goodies that weren't included in the paperback edition, such as colourised illustrations and customisable difficulty settings.

There's also an extremely handy bookmarking system that enables you to save your progress in case you unwittingly meet a premature end.

I really could have used that last feature many years ago when I read the paperback version of this Fighting Fantasy novel.

Anyway, you can download House of Hell right now for Android and iOS for £3.99 / $5.99. Do it.
