Vita owners who subscribe to Sony's PlayStation Plus service are in for a treat next month, with not one, but two Pocket Gamer Award-winning titles going free-to-download.

PlayStation Plus will add Studio Liverpool's gravity-defying futuristic racer WipEout 2048 and harmonious musical puzzle sequel Lumines Electronic Symphony to its free games list in February.

Bang for your buck

In case you are unaware, Sony brought its PlayStation Plus service to the Vita last November.

In exchange for a three month fee of £11.99 - or a yearly subscription at £39.99 - players receive discounts on PS Store games, and a monthly selection of game which they can download free of charge.

Sony welcomed Vita owners to the PS Plus club with complimentary downloads of Gravity Rush, Chronovolt, and Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

So, when can we grab these goodies? Well, according to thePlayStation Blog, subscribers will have to wait until February 13th for WipEout 2048, and February 20th for Lumines Electronic Symphony.
