Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers receives pre-order bonus soundtrack disc

The upcoming release of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers will see Atlus continue its excellent tradition of providing pre-order bonuses.

On Friday, Atlus announced that the upcoming RPG will receive a special "Arranged Soundtrack" CD that features the work of veteran franchise composers Shoji Meguro, Toshiko Tasaki, and Tsukasa Masuko.

This album is identical to the Arranged CD released in Japan alongside the game's launch this past August, and features six tracks: Opening Movie, Naomi Battle, Urabe Battle, Event Battle 2, Normal Battle, and Hotel Gomaden - presumably, a great place to rest after all those battles.

Devilish gameplay

For western gamers, Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers has been a missing entry from the Shin Megami Tensei series of games that never saw a release outside of Japan.

Combining Persona-style summoning gameplay with a cyberpunk vibe that's more Ghost in the Shell than Shin Megami Tensei, Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers has players join a team of hackers known as The Spookies and summon devils (Personas) to fight for him.

Those interested in the bonus Arranged CD can pre-order the game from EBGames, GameStop, or Amazon in the US. In Canada, Amazon.ca or VGP will be your best bet.

Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers will be released on April 16 in North America. There is currently no word on a Europe release date.
