iOS and Android Game of the Week - your vote needed
|

Each week, thousands of new games hit the iOS App Store and Google Play on Android. Trying to separate the wheat from the chaff is a tough job, and no mistake.

We like to think that we do a pretty good job of it with our news articles, mid-week round-ups, reviews, and features, mind.

But, we want to know what YOU think.

Today, we're asking you to pick the best game that was released on iOS and Android this week (from some nominations), and then we'll present that winner in an article next Monday.

There are loads of places to vote. Leave a comment on this article, reply to our Game of the Week tweet, vote on Facebook, or whisper it into a horse's ear.

The nominations
Tank Battle: North Africa (iPhone, iPad) In this sequel to Tank Battle: 1944, you're tasked with leading a battle-hardened battalion of British and US units into brutal brawls against Hitler and his German forces. In TANKS.
Ikaruga (Android) Iconic bullet-hell shooter Ikaruga is renowned for being one of the best and most challenging examples of its genre, thanks - in no small part - to its clever polarity-based gameplay.
Super Hexagon (Android) Terry Cavanagh's Super Hexagon is a tough-as-nails arcade game in which you take control of a small hovering triangle, and attempt to guide it safely around waves of incoming barriers.
Ghostbusters (iPhone, iPad) Strap on a proton pack, grab your PKE meter, and head out into a haunted New York City to save its citizens from the slimy ghosts that are terrorisin them.
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes (iPhone, iPad) A unique role-playing game with puzzle elements, Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes sees you defeat enemies in turn-based battles using match-three gameplay.
Banana Kong (iPhone, iPad) Avoid obstacles and stay one step ahead of a deadly (but delicious) banana avalanche in this Donkey Kong Country-inspired endless-running title.
Wave Trip (iPhone, iPad) Lucky Frame's Bad Hotel follow-up mashes together R-Type-style shooter gameplay with more musical elements than you can shake a conductor's baton at.
