iOS and Android Game of the Week - your vote needed

Each week, thousands of new games hit the iOS App Store and Google Play on Android. Trying to separate the wheat from the chaff is a tough job, and no mistake.

We like to think that we do a pretty good job of it with our news articles, mid-week round-ups, reviews, and features, mind.

But, we want to know what YOU think.

Today, we're asking you to pick the best game that was released on iOS and Android this week (from some nominations), and then we'll present that winner in an article next Monday.

Infestor (iPhone, iPad)

You liked League of Evil, right? Well then, you'll probably want to give Ravenous Games's new puzzle-platformer a once over. Also ideal for anyone who dreams of being a small green blob with the ability to body-jack.

Final Fantasy: All the Bravest

The latest fan-service cash-sponge to emerge from the IAP-addled offices of Square Enix is this happy-tappy hero hoedown. Loads of characters from throughout the series gather to brawl en masse. Provided you have the coin, of course.

Gunslugs (iPhone, iPad, Android)

The designer of the '80s-style action-platformer claims Gunslugs was inspired by geriatric bullet-orgy The Expendables. Thankfully, this lively blaster has 100 per cent less Sly, and 100 per cent more hellworms.

Temple Run 2

Having managed 170 million downloads of Temple Run, and, in the process, defined an entire genre, Imangi Studios decided that the time had come to gift the world a brand new addiction. You run. A lot. Endlessly, in fact. But now there are ziplines.

Undead Soccer

Have you ever wondered what footballers would be like if, rather than simply sounding and acting braindead, they were actually braindead? Bulkypix's flick-based zombie shoot-out is here to answer that very question. Thank goodness.

Momonga Pinball Adventures

If relentlessly paddling a flying squirrel's arse till a talking panda smiles is wrong, then we don't want to be right. An ingenious fusion of pinball mechanics, narrative, and sumptuous visuals, this one is not to be missed.

Gene Effect

This handsome sci-fi adventure puts you in command of a snazzy looking spacecraft, and sends you deep into the caves of planet Kratoss in search of ancient alien artifacts. There's literally no way that plan can go wrong.

Life is Magic

Rather than spiriting you off to some fantastic otherworld, this location-based RPG brings the fantasy right to your front door - literally. Using local geography, the game superimposes a mystical realm on top of real-world locations. It's quite good fun, too.
